Inquiry series 

The Committee has launched an inquiry series into Defence in Scotland. This began with an inquiry into the military personnel and military estate landscape in Scotland, and continues with ongoing inquiries into military shipbuilding in Scotland and Defence in the North Atlantic and the High North.

The North Atlantic and the High North

The Committee’s inquiry into the North Atlantic and the High North was launched on 2 December 2022 and is now accepting written evidence. Read the call for evidence and press release for more information.

Military shipbuilding

The Committee published its report into military shipbuilding in January 2023, and the Government's response was published in April 2023. More information on this inquiry is available in the press release. 

Military personnel and estate

The Committee published its report into the military personnel and estate landscape in June 2022, and the Government’s response was published in September 2022. More information on this inquiry is available in the press release.
