The situation in Sudan

Non-inquiry session

Following the Committee's most recent session on Sudan in October, this session provided an opportunity to investigate worsening humanitarian conditions in Sudan, prospects of a ceasefire, and the impact of regional dynamics on prolonging hostilities. The Committee also had the opportunity to discuss justice and accountability mechanisms that may be required once the conflict has come to an end.
