Hillsborough Law

Non-inquiry session

The JCHR will consider the ways in which human rights are engaged by current processes for conducting public inquiries and coronial inquests, with a focus on the lessons of the Hillsborough inquiry, as laid out in Bishop Jones’ 2017 Report, and to make recommendations for ways in which a ‘Hillsborough law’ might improve the protection of those rights.
