The Joint Committee on Human Rights would like your views on this draft Remedial Order, which is intended to remedy incompatibilities in the legislation governing widowed parent’s allowance (WPA) and bereavement support payment (BSP) with Article 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights, the prohibition on discrimination.
