Human rights of unaccompanied migrant children and young people in the uk

Inquiry

The Joint Committee on Human Rights has launched an inquiry into the human rights of unaccompanied migrant children and young people in the UK, with a particular focus on those who are seeking asylum or have been the victims of trafficking. The Committee seeks evidence from anyone with an interest in this issue.

Written evidence is sought by Friday 26 October. It is expected that public hearings will be held in November and December. The Committee aims to report to both Houses, with recommendations, no later than Easter 2013.
