The International Trade Committee will examine upcoming arrangements for importing goods from the EU at 10am on Wednesday 3 November.
Meeting details
Likely areas of questioning
MPs are likely to use the hearing to explore the impact of the Government’s announcement of further delays to the introduction of the regime for imports of EU goods, the preparedness of both Government and business for the regime’s roll-out, and the likely end state.
The session, which forms part of the Committee’s inquiry into the UK-EU trading relationship, is also likely to examine the likelihood of unintentional non-compliance with imports rules, the costs of the regime to importers, and the potential impacts of changes on prices and choice in the UK.
