McFadden to be questioned by Work and Pensions Committee
Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden is to be questioned by the Work and Pensions Committee on the work of his department.
Meeting details
One of the focuses of the session is likely to be on efforts to tackle the NEET crisis after Alan Milburn published his interim report identifying its causes last month which the committee is examining in its own inquiry.
MPs are also likely to ask McFadden for his views on the ambition of the Child Poverty Strategy on which the Committee is studying jointly with the Education Committee.
Pensions and benefits adequacy and the DWP’s treatment of vulnerable claimants could also be raised during the session.
