Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn to face questions from MPs
Secretary of State Hilary Benn MP appears before the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee for a regular accountability session on the work of the Northern Ireland Office.
The session, which will also feature NIO Minister Matthew Patrick MP and the department’s Permanent Secretary Julie Harrison, is likely to include questions about funding for the NI Executive and public services, while MPs could also ask about issues related to the Committee’s current inquiries, which include those on policing and security and economic growth.

Additionally, there could be discussion about the Government’s response to the Committee’s report on legacy and the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill, and the Committee’s report on Operation Kenova, which was published earlier this month.
Also on the panel will be Fleur Johnson, Windsor Framework Director at the Cabinet Office. The Committee is currently carrying out a rolling inquiry examining the operation and implementation of the post-Brexit legal agreement.
