In a wide-ranging session, the Committee will examine the progress made since the Secretary of State’s previous appearance in July 2025. It will also be Anna McMorrin MP’s first appearance before the Committee in her role as Minister.

MPs are likely to ask about the Secretary of State’s priorities, as well as the Wales Office’s work on a range of issues, such as policing, tackling violence against women and girls, and Welsh broadcasting.

The Committee may also ask questions related to its inquiry into promoting Wales for inward investment, focusing on how the Wales Office can best work with UK Government departments and the Welsh Government to attract inward investment.

MP could also ask what the UK Government are doing to tackle issues such as remediating disused coal tips and managing contaminated land, as part of its inquiry into the environmental and economic legacy of Wales’ Industrial Past.
