The Bill would enable people suffering from a terminal illness to obtain assistance to end their lives under certain circumstances.

However, concerns have been raised about the unintended consequences of the Bill, including the impact on disabled people, though the Committee recognises that there are different views within the disability community.

In this evidence session the committee will explore some of those concerns and whether the Bill does enough to mitigate human rights concerns relating to disabled people.
