Safeguarding vulnerable claimants inquiry: Work and Pensions Committee holds first oral evidence session

The Work and Pensions Committee examines how DWP supports vulnerable benefit claimants and whether its approach to safeguarding needs to change.

The session is a chance for MPs to ask academics and think tanks about the DWP’s responsibilities and accountability when it comes to safeguarding, whether there need to be new measures introduced to protect people from harm and the effectiveness of the process of reviewing cases.
