Children’s Commissioner questioned on human rights and children

The Children’s Commissioner is responsible for promoting and protecting the rights of children, including raising awareness of the issues facing them. In this wide-ranging session, the Committee will examine several issues relating to children’s human rights.

This is likely to include the human rights of child asylum seekers including the use of age assessments; modern slavery; county lines; the youth justice system; and online safety.
