Commons Select Committee

The Business and Trade Sub-Committee on National Security and Investment existed from 2022 until 2024. It was set up by the Business and Trade Select Committee to examine the work of the Investment Security Unit - part of the Cabinet Office, considering whether investments in UK businesses pose a risk to national security under the National Security and Investment Act 2021. The Sub-Committee was first chaired by Darren Jones MP and then by Liam Byrne MP. It had the same membership as the Business and Trade Select Committee.
