Over the last twenty years we have become increasingly aware of the distress and nuisance caused by fireworks. Two main reasons account for this: the increase in use of fireworks and our dog ownership. Twenty years ago memory suggests fireworks were let off on November 5th and at relatively rare public displays. Now the bangs can occur at any time from mid October to Nov 5th and, at other times of the year and in any part of the country for weddings or random parties.
So we ask that use, and especially noise, be reduced for the sake of humans and animals. There must also be advantages from this in air quality and carbon release.
