Public accounts committee on the subject of continuing healthcare NHS funding.
I am Pamela Coughlan referred to in the Coughlan case 1999, where I and others were found to be in need of continuing care funded by NHS.
Since then there have been many articles in the media exposing unlawful refusal of continuing healthcare funding by various NHS assessment teams.
Movement from NHS responsibility for care into local authority or social service responsibility has continued unlawfully the 80s.
The court of appeal in 1999 decided that the NHS had acted beyond it’s powers when it claimed that I and others were not a health responsibility, ,but were a social care responsibility.
The national framework assessment tool is so lacking in structure and focus, so open to subjective interpretation that thousands, maybe tens of thousands wrongly assessed.
For a government department commanding a vast area of extremely important work, it is shocking that what looks like culpable misleading and untruthful information and messages are sent to the public. It is even more appalling that wrong decisions are routinely made.
Since 1999 many people have contacted me personally in order to prove that they or their relatives or friends easily fit the criteria laid down in the Coughlan case 1999 for continuing healthcare funding.
