Brief Description Hypuljet  ( 2020-21 )                                          Al Scott

Hypuljet the engine concept   has developed from 2008-9 as H2 – O2 combustion

In 2017-18 it developed to use water spray to generate Steam internally and in the latest version as replacement expander for the normal compressed air to irradicate NOx  = Zero NOx and Zero CO2

The design has been to have direct shaft drive to the main generator, with twin power units and the main generator in central position where the generator shaft connects the two power unit shafts as one. The Main rotor units have Combustion chambers attached to the housings where the jet forming chamber passes through the outer casing to deliver the jet to the rotor, two per rotor.

To use the patent phrase, there will be one or more rotors per twin unit.  As an example our planned Proof of Concept will be, twin, three rotor units and will have 12 combustion chamber/jet units. Delivering two jets constant force to rotor shaft throughout 360 degrees this could be controlled/lowered to reduce power out put.

To make best use of the Energy produced  i.e. the steam power each of the twin main rotor units will have two x secondary rotors/housing one at the front and one at the rear – steam jets after use in main rotors will pass via transfer ports to secondary rotors to provide secondary power; These can be used in different formats i.e. two power units or three ( two joined as one power output with two separate )  or four separate units. These will power Generator for Fuel production system, water injections system, twin fuel compressors etc

These secondary unit rotors are in line with main rotors such that force comes from the one half of the combustion units, twin 3 rotor Main = 6 top and 6 bottom – top 6 provide jets to front secondary rotors – whilst bottom 6 provide jets to the rear secondary rotors

The Vehicle electrical systems generator will double as belt drive starter to main generator shaft – as there is no mechanical connections to secondary units.

Cooling = both liquid and air cooling, low pressure forced lubrication each twin unit, 4 x main and 2x 4 secondary rotor shafts per twin unit.

The Hypuljet Integrated Hydrogen Power Unit

Hypuljet the engine is joined by  Ezi H2 and J3xE

Ezi H2        An on demand from the engine, Flow type fuel system where electrolysor units  produce H2 – O2 into twin fuel systems, separate from production to point of combustion into the combustion chamber.

Twin buffer containers, with twin compressors to a designed common rail type delivery to the injectors.

J3xE Generator Magnifier = device to assess output of generator to control fuel usage of engine = optimisation of pulse jet injector/ignition/water injection.

J3xE is already developed to Prototype and under going further development -testing – exceptional results with petrol engine generators.

Planned Development of Hypuljet I.H.P.U. and Aims of Hypuljet Ltd

There is a planned development to take place at Technical University Berlin covered in the document Maturation Road Map

Two Phases at Berlin Tu

P.1 = initial modelling of the engine to validation, based on that as a foundation, to go forwards

P.2 = to fully develop the engine and all systems of the Integrated Hydrogen Power Unit to Lab Proof of Concept.

P.3 = Hypuljet Ltd to retrofit the Hypuljet IHPU into a LEVC eTaxi which may take place in ether Germany or France

The Intellectual Property covering the Hypuljet IHPU will be the assets of Hypuljet Ltd UK. The aim is to make the IP widely available under one basic low-cost Licence agreement to all licencees, with one level of royalties

The IP will be Licenced to Auto Makers as part of Global Contracts, to enable Legacy Auto makers to mass produce the Unit within their existing supply chain in order that the Hypuljet IHPU is rapidly taken up on a Global basis to bring about Affordable Zero emissions EVs, in order bring about a rapid Decarbonisation of Global Transport

Hypuljet Ltd aim to involve as many Auto makers as possible, of all types of vehicles, at the earliest stage of development to allow early consideration by these companies to developing their own Hypuljet units for their own models to bring them on stream as soon as possible in the War on Carbon.

Hypuljet Ltd feel that in this way Legacy Auto makers will be able to make best use of this low cost option to bring about Affordable Zero emissions EVs – especially to Retrofit their own petrol/diesel vehicles which are on the roads.

This proactive approach could see 80,000,000 retro fit vehicles per year.

Instead of replacement new vehicles at say 20,000,000 where the owner would be trading a reasonable vehicle at scrap value. Having a retrofit H2 Zero emissions option – Global Auto makers could have 400,000,000 Z EVs on the Road by 2031

Hypuljet Ltd intend to have support systems of consultants to assist companies to develop Hypuljet IHPU to their best advantage. However, the speed at which the Auto makers need to take decisive action may well overtake these ambitions. (A lot of this thinking goes back to 2018)

Hypuljet IHPU will also cut the Govt infrastructurebillions, which could be redirected to subsidising the Retro fits i.e. 5 year old VW diesel Van - €10,000 over- all cost - €7000 subs  = which owner is going to turn down €3,000 cost, when the future trade in would repay that amount.

This proactive approach to decarbonise the Global Fleet, would bring about a significant level of work for the OEMs, it will also remove the forecasted stranded assets of engine production lines from bottom lines and the redundancies of many thousands of engineers.

Most importantly it will have the greatest impact on levels of atmospheric CO2.

Vehicles fitted with Hypuljet IHPU will be usable in every country in the world even those without a Grid or funding for Hydrogen networks, yes might need to sort out water but easier than electricity and needed equally to raise living standards

It is worth noting that the Hypuljet Unit would also adapt as a Combined Heat and Power Unit taking houses Off-grid to Zero Emissions – even greater levels of engine production needed and even greater cuts in CO2

It can also be seen that HyPulJet – IHPU would make a good fit as a power unit in Short and Medium range electric aircraft  - the lack of the need for serious Hydrogen infrastructure would be a major benefit to Regional and rural airfields where the costs would see their demise. The Range would far out strip THE Batteries and Battery hydrogen Fuel Cells propositions.
