  1. NP Aerospace Ltd. is a West Midlands-based global armour technology manufacturer and vehicle integrator with an extensive portfolio developed using ultra-lightweight, high performance materials. NP Aerospace has products ranging from NIJ-certified ballistic helmets, plates, and shields, through to advanced platform armour solutions up to and including STANAG 4569 Level 6, along with PDS contracts with UK MOD for the Protected Mobility fleet of vehicles. Our products protect the lives of military and law enforcement personnel, enhancing security and resilience in high threat environments.

 

  1. Once contracted, NP Aerospace will be responsible for delivering key elements of the Appliqué Add-on Armour for the Peace Support Operations configuration of the AJAX platform. This involves the specialist processing of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene.

 

  1. It follows that the continuation of the AJAX programme is of strategic importance to the growth of NP Aerospace. The three-year contract will directly lead to the creation of 15 new jobs and the retention of a further 10, and NPA estimate that it will create 5-10 third-party jobs within the regional supply base. The Capital Investment it enables will similarly expand and advance the manufacturing processes of NP Aerospace, leading to increased market share amongst the Personal Protection and Vehicle Protection markets globally.

 

  1. In addition to which, NPA would be in a position to leverage being a supplier to the UK MOD, a reference customer amongst other users, as an opportunity to win export opportunities and other UK programmes thereby contributing to the UK Prosperity and Levelling Up agendas.
