It is a great pleasure to have the opportunity to write to you. My name is Annabel May, I’m 20 years old and I started my level 3 business administration apprenticeship during the pandemic. Previously I was a chef but wanted to change my career and saw the pandemic as a great opportunity. I looked at the transferable skills that I had gained from working as a chef such as great organisation and the ability to work in a team. I stumbled upon the great apprenticeship company that I currently study my apprenticeship through the government website. However, I definitely believe that further advertisement of apprenticeships within schools would be greatly beneficial to thousands of students. 

It goes without saying that starting an apprenticeship during a pandemic was challenging. But also presented many opportunities such as being able to talk to Rishi Sunak and Anne Milton MP via zoom. 

I would lastly like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to write to you today.
