Youth Unemployment Committee inquiry

My name is Nasimah Dauda and I came across your poster on LinkedIn, and just wanted to share my own personal opinion. 

My biggest barrier to finding work is the lack of experience, and my age. When there are much more older applicants applying for the same role it is often most likely they will get the role rather people my own age. 

I think that schools could encourage students more to get a range of work experience not just one in one field and help students gain those experiences. I also think that schools should hold workshops and explain the world of work and teach students how to build their cvs to align with these roles, also inviting people who recruit people to talk on what they look for in an employee.

I hope this helps in understanding youth unemployment.
