What other roles do Road Policing officers perform? (i.e. Firearms, Non road policing Incident Response, search etc.)

The RPU is ring fenced for roads policing work. Occasionally when Force demand reaches tipping point, we have been requested to assist with demand. This happens on rare occasions, and is usually only to respond to one or two calls for service.
