I will have lived in “my” flat since 28 February 2018. No matter how many leaseholders want things done, they are ignored. Our communal areas are a disgrace and the only thing our managing agents have done is to “wash” the carpets that were badly soiled by the builders completing the final fit outs (they are still a disgrace). The sticky labels round the inside of the lobby door saying “remove immediately after installation” are still there. As leaseholders we have no comeback other than another expensive visit to a tribunal.

A conservative MP was unable to help and lost her seat and the current labour one is no better. It is just too complex.

Leasehold just isn’t working for us and I’ve been fighting for eight years. It is affecting both my health and my financial standing. I thought I would die here of old age but that is looking less and less likely to happen as I deplete my savings to bolster my pension.
