I have experience of 1 family with 4 children, aged [ages], who are homeschooled. The variety  of their lessons is wide with lots of books and computers to encourage them and outside support for things like french and music. They do not only cover the usual academic subjects but grow vegetables, look after chickens and use the local tennis courts. 2 of the children are involved in [hobby].

They are taught by their Mum and are well aware when it is time to learn or time to play. Their Mum is imaginative and finds all the right resources so they can learn by themselves or on a 1-1 basis.

There is no disadvantage to the children by being homeschooled as they join activities with other local homeschooled children and children at their local church.

They are able to communicate well with people of all ages and it is my good fortune to know them and watch them grow.

These children have  been little affected by Covid - 19  as, in addition to their school work, go for long bicycle rides.

There should be a record of children who are homeschooled and for Local Authorities to know that children are safe and getting the right level of education. Once a check has been made and, if all is well, the parents should be left to get on with it.
