I was medically discharged from the RAF in May 2014.

I have tried to access medical support on injuries that I was medically discharged with, however I have had waits of 12 – 18 months for initial reviews and the same time between scans and repeat appointments, to the extent I’m still trying to resolve an issue that my doctors referred me hospital in 2018.

I did try reaching out for PTSD treatment and no additional support would be provided under the armed forces covenant and required my wife reaching directly out to hospitals.

From experience nothing I have experienced in South Wales has been influenced by the armed covenant and feel only lip service has been applied and no support has been applied as part of this scheme, with almost a feeling that my treatment would have been better if I had not mentioned using the Armed forces covenant.
