NHS Confederation - Written evidence (MNI0005)

I am writing following my attendance on the witness panel for the committee’s meeting last week, firstly to thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of the NHS Confederation and represent the views of NHS leaders, particularly those in Northern Ireland.

I promised to follow up with the committee following a question from The Rt Hon. the Lord Hain about which medicines are on the Northern Ireland MHRA Authorised Route (NIMAR) list. The list of medicines is publicly available here.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to advise how frequently prescribed these medicines are. One of the bodies representing the pharmaceutical or medical professions would be able to give some indication.
