Unicaf was established in 2012 and through the BII investment was able to expand across Africa.
Unicaf’s mission is to positively contribute to the educational, economic, and sustainable development of local communities and the region as a whole, through the provision of accessible, internationally recognised educational programmes, which focus on developing professional skills.
With headquarters in Cyprus Unicaf, it is expanding throughout Africa via a growing network of university campuses and learning centres to facilitate blended and open learning options. Unicaf currently has a physical presence in 12 countries and has plans to expand to 5 additional countries within the next three years.
Unicaf, through its partner universities, offers Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in partnership with UK, US and African universities. Current partnerships include Liverpool John Moores University (UK), the University of East London (UK), the University of Suffolk (UK), and Unicaf University which is a pan-African university with local and British accreditation. In addition to the fully online degrees, Unicaf through Unicaf University offers a range of academic programmes and professional short courses through its campus network.
Unicaf is able to offer the above programmes at a fraction of the cost thus enabling thousands of qualified students to study for internationally recognised degrees at a fraction of the cost and positively transform their lives.
Unicaf works closely with its British partner universities to develop custom-made services and solutions that include market strategy and research; marketing and enrolment; technology, programme design and conversion; and institution-wide support, covering the entire student journey. Our comprehensive cloud-based digital platform of tightly integrated technology and services provides the digital infrastructure that universities need to recruit, enrol, teach, and support students at scale.
UK university partners are able to offer their programmes online across Africa and benefit from the exposure of Unicaf’s promotional activities. More than 10,000 students are currently registered towards programmes offered through our UK partners.
Unicaf uses the latest technology and innovative tools to enhance instructional methods’ effectiveness and improve the student learning experience. The digital platform is essentially an integrated ecosystem of technology, people, and data. Unicaf’s state-of-the-art digital platform provides a range of services from the time a student clicks on an advert until the time the student graduates.
Though the BII investment Unicaf was able to establish university campuses in Africa aiming towards expanding the offering of quality higher education and to provide the opportunity to African students to earn quality higher education degrees.
