List of marine mammal species with a threatened conservation status listed on the IUCN Red List (version 2022-1). There are three categories of threatened species: those which are critically endangered (CR), those which are endangered (EN) and those which are vulnerable (VU). Here we also list whether the species is present in the UK EEZ.

Note that as discussed during the Committee’s session, these are global conservation status assessment. It is possible for species to not be faring well in part of their range yet be ranging widely enough that their global status is not threatened.
