Supplementary written evidence from NHS England
1. This written evidence supplements the written evidence provided to the House of Commons Education Committee on 7 February 2019.
2. Further to the completion of the current programme objectives, the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) programme will continue to be supported by the Senior Nurse Children and Young People (CYP), aligned to the commitments in the NHS Long Term Plan. The SEND programme will form part of the NHS’s Children and Young People’s Programme Board, which will be responsible for delivery the CYP commitments set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.
3. NHS England and its partners are confident that good progress has been made on the SEND reforms.
