NAO Estimate and Strategy

Every year the Public Accounts Committee examines the National Audit Office’s (NAO) Estimate, which sets out the organisation’s spending in the next financial year. The NAO is the UK’s supreme audit authority, responsible for auditing all government departments’ and agencies’ financial statements and reporting to Parliament. The NAO also reports on the value for money for government projects and programmes.

The Committee will question the Comptroller and Auditor General, who heads the NAO, about the NAO’s Estimate and The National Audit Office’s five-year strategy: 2020 to 2025.
