One-off Session on the Future of Warfare

Non-inquiry session

At this one-off evidence session, the committee will explore the future of warfare with an expert panel. The session is expected to cover:

  • The strategic context for the future of warfare and how this might develop, including anticipatable trends and unpredictable variables
  • What have the last few years taught us about the changing nature of warfare? (with special reference to Ukraine but also elsewhere)
  • The implications for alliances and for national defence planning, including the development of the Defence Industrial Base
