Global Health Challenges and the UK

Non-inquiry session

This session examined concerns about the implication of ODA funding cuts on the world health architecture. These cuts, it is argued, increase the risks of costly health emergencies and trends affecting the UK and the world. The first panel brought together leading experts in global health, giving the Committee the opportunity to further understand the risks and opportunities to the UK. The second panel explored the extent to which UK ministers understand the risks and are addressing them through UK policy.
