Housing for Older People

Non-inquiry session

The Committee is holding an evidence session to explore the findings and recommendations of the Older People’s Housing Taskforce report, published in November 2024. It will also consider the range of housing options for later life, Older Persons Shared Ownership, and park homes.

This session will form part of the Committee’s scrutiny ahead of the Government’s forthcoming long-term housing strategy. The Government has said that the strategy, to be published later this year, will set out its policies to address older people's housing needs.
