Pre-appointment Hearing: The Chair of The Office for Students (OfS)

Pre-appointment hearing

The Office for Students (OfS) is a non-departmental public body that regulates higher education in England.  As a non-departmental public body the OfS receives guidance on strategic priorities from the Department for Education and its operations are independent of government. It is accountable to Parliament, through the Education Select Committee and therefore the position of Chair is subject to pre-appointment scrutiny by the Committee.
