In this non-inquiry hearing, the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee will question key stakeholders about the workforce challenges and shortages in the veterinary profession. The Committee will probe the implications of vet shortages for the food industry, border controls, biosecurity and animal welfare, as well as exploring steps that could be taken to support the profession.
