Investigatory Powers (Amendment) Bill 2023

The Joint Committee on Human Rights would like your views on this Bill, which would make wide-ranging amendments to the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, including various expansions of the powers of the security and intelligence services to access data. The provisions of the Bill would engage various human rights, including the right to respect for private life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
