The Arctic

Inquiry

The Committee’s inquiry will consider the UK's evolving security, diplomatic and economic interests in the Arctic. It will explore the implications of improved access to the region, and rising geopolitical tensions. The inquiry will look at whether the UK Government has set the right strategic priorities, and the contribution that the UK and NATO can make to security in the Arctic.

Report published 29 November 2023, Government response published 26 January 2024, awaiting debate.
