Special Inquiry Committee proposals 2021

Non-inquiry session

The Liaison Committee invited further proposals for new Special Inquiry Committees from members of the House, with a deadline for receipt of proposals of 28 October 2020. Members of the House of Lords were also asked for proposals earlier in the year. These proposals were submitted to the Liaison Committee by 31 March 2020 and the Committee made its recommendations in its New special inquiry committees 2020–21 report. The National Plan for Sport and Recreation Committee & Risk Assessment and Risk Planning Committee were appointed in October 2020. Unsuccessful proposals from earlier in the year were resubmitted to the Committee to consider along with the new proposals. All proposals considered by the Liaison Committee in November 2020 can be found in the publication section below.
