The impact of environmental regulations on development

Inquiry

This inquiry will assess the impact of environmental regulations on development. It will consider the governance, the associated costs for developers and promoters, and the impact on the delivery of projects, of nationally defined environmental regulations in England. We will also consider the role of different government bodies in monitoring and implementing these regulations.

The committee's report was published on 21 September 2023. The Government's response was published on 12 December 2023 and the report was debated on 19 April 2024.
