Annual update on major shipbuilding programmes

This session will assess progress on the Type 26, Type 31 and Fleet Solid Support programmes in the last year.

This session follows on from the Committee’s report “We’re Going to need a bigger Navy”. The Government accepted the Committee’s recommendation that, to help ensure shipbuilding projects are delivered to schedule, each Senior Responsible Owner for a major shipbuilding programme should provide the Committee with an annual report and answer any additional questions in a public evidence session. This session will consider the Government’s first annual updates on these programmes.
