Government Northern Ireland Protocol negotiations

The European Scrutiny Committee is considering how effective the Government’s proposals are for the reform of the Northern Ireland Protocol. It will consider the potential solutions such as: Oversight by the Court of Justice of the European Union; dual regulation; alignment with EU law; and the 'democratic deficit'. It will also allow the Committee to explore the current state-of-play of the negotiations.
