UK-Norway Framework Fisheries Agreement

Inquiry

The UK and Norway have agreed a Framework Fisheries Agreement which it is proposed will take effect from 1 January 2021. The agreement is required to provide arrangements for after the transition period when the UK will no longer be covered by the existing EU-Norway Fisheries Agreement.

Separate to this agreement, negotiations are taking place between the UK, Norway and the EU, to establish trilateral governance arrangements for fish stocks in the North Sea.
