The Affordable Homes Programme since 2015

Inquiry

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) is responsible for the Affordable Homes Programme, intended to supply new affordable homes for people to own or rent.

The programme is managed by Homes England outside of London and the Greater London Authority within London.

Building on previous inquiries into Starter Homes, the regulation of private renting in England and levelling up and the UK’s housing crisis, the Committee will question senior DLUHC officials on how the Programme is delivering affordable housing and whether it is supporting wider government commitments, such as meeting housing needs and the net zero strategy.

If you have evidence on:

  • How the different phases of the programme are delivering new homes;
  • Latest progress under the 2021-2026 programme, or
  • Whether the programme aligns with other cross-government initiatives

- please submit it here by Wednesday 14 September 2022.

This inquiry is no longer accepting evidence

The deadline for submissions was Wednesday 14 September 2022.
