ICAI’s review of the UK’s approach to safeguarding in the humanitarian sector

On 24 February 2022, ICAI published a review into The UK’s approach to safeguarding in the humanitarian sector. This review examined how the Government has attempted to tackle sexual abuse and exploitation (SEA) in humanitarian settings. ICAI uses the term “PSEA” throughout its review, which refers to protection from sexual abuse and exploitation.

The objectives of this session were to question ICAI on the findings of its review and information note & to examine the Government on its response to ICAI’s recommendations.
