ICAI’s review on tackling fraud in UK aid through multilateral organisations

Inquiry

The Independent Commission for Aid Impact published a review, Tackling fraud in UK aid through multilateral organisations, in March 2022. This review looked at how the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) aims to prevent UK aid spending from being lost to fraud. The UK spends a substantial proportion of its aid through multilateral organisations like the European Commission and the World Bank.

The Sub-Committee questioned both ICAI and the FCDO on the findings of the review and the Government’s response to ICAI’s recommendations.

This inquiry is no longer accepting evidence

The deadline for submissions was 1:00pm on 1 September 2022.
