In this pre-appointment hearing the Committee will question the Government’s preferred candidate for the post of Chair of the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Ian Dilks OBE was Chair of NHS Resolution until the end of 2020. He formerly chaired Pricewaterhouse Cooper’s Global Captive Insurance Group. MPs will consider the candidate’s prior experience, suitability for the role and his priorities.
