Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)

Inquiry

The Education Committee is holding an inquiry on the effectiveness of the careers advice given to students.

The inquiry will be a root and branch review of how well the current system for careers education, information, advice and guidance is working (CEIAG).

It will have a particular focus on CEIAG for young people and children, exploring whether current careers advice provides sufficient guidance about career choice, employment, training, and further and higher education opportunities to young people.

It will also look at how arrangements for CEIAG could better support disadvantaged or left behind groups to access career opportunities that may otherwise not be available to them.

Read the call for evidence for more detail about the inquiry.

This inquiry is no longer accepting evidence

The deadline for submissions was Thursday 17 March 2022.
