The Work and Pensions Select Committee has responsibility for the financial scrutiny of the Department for Work and Pensions. This scrutiny is ongoing and is and carried out throughout the year.

The Committee regularly holds evidence sessions with relevant Ministers and the Secretary of State, and receives written evidence when appropriate.
