RBS's Global Restructuring Group and its treatment of SMEs inquiry

Inquiry

Global Restructuring Group, or GRG, was a business support unit at RBS that operated between 2008 and 2014.The Committee has longstanding concerns about the treatment of small businesses referred to GRG. It has pressed for the disclosure of the results of a review commissioned by the regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority. And it has sought additional evidence from RBS.

The Committee will continue its work bringing transparency to this issue by holding a one-off evidence session with the authors of the review—Promontory—and RBS's Chief Executive, Ross McEwan.
