EU Insurance Regulation inquiry

Inquiry

This is an inquiry which will produce a report drawing on evidence heard by the previous Committee as part of its inquiry into the new regime for the regulation of insurance, which was implemented in January 2016.

There were fears that the much delayed EU directive would impose substantial costs on the insurance industry, and the previous Committee heard evidence on the impacts of the directive, and the options now available to the UK, in more detail using the pubished Terms of reference.
