Rail compensation one-off session

Inquiry

The issue of passenger compensation has been at the forefront of the rail political agenda following the super-complaint by Which? to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) in December 2015. Subsequent developments include the extension of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to rail on 1 October 2016 and the Delay Repay 15 announcement on 13 October 2016.

The purpose of this one-off session is to measure the progress of industry, the Department for Transport and the ORR in responding to the super-complaint. The session also aims to identify other broader issues with rail compensation.
