Compliance with the National Minimum Wage in Scotland

Inquiry

During its inquiry into zero hours contracts the Committee heard that workers in certain sectors of the economy were not being paid the National Minimum Wage.

The Committee held a one off oral evidence session which focused on levels of non-compliance with the National Minimum Wage and reasons for it, the effectiveness of enforcement and the levels of sanction available to the Government, as well as discussion of the future of the minimum wage.
